tax costs on new powerbook?

i am currently wanting to purchase a new 17 inch powerbook from apple.com, the price will not reflect tax until after you place your order. i was wondering if anyone that has purchased one from apple could tell me what their tax was on top of the price? thanks so much

    Tax is dependent on where you live. You will pay the standard tax for the state in which you live, and any additional locality (county, etc.) taxes.
