Apple plans to make its Music Store available in Europe in October. This was explained by Bart Cools, Managing Director of EMI Switzerland in a story by the actual m4music-newsletter at a meeting (Symposium) of the swiss music branch.
Previous reports have indicated significant interest in launching the international iTunes Music Store -- but no specific timeframe had previously been predicted.

Everything's kind of overshadowed by hardware right now, but nothing has changed my computer spending habits this year like the iTunes music store. I think with independants coming on board, and international and windows versions soon to be, that Apple has a perfect opportunity to really increase it's brand awareness in the enemy camp.
Few people, other than those who have been waiting, will rush out and buy a G5. But I know a lot of windows using coworkers who dream of an iPod.
