Will the G5 be fast before Panther?

I don't know if anyone has an idea, but I'd like to know. I'm seriously considering getting one of these machines, but I don't want to buy it now if it's not going to be fast until Panther is released. They are pricey, for sure. My current machine is a dual 450 G4, which is kind of the same thing. There was no major advantage to the dual processors before OSX was released, but at the time it was a "good deal" (by Apple standards.)



How long before we get real world specs?
