iPhone in your iHandbag - you heard it here first
I was just perusing the UK Patent Designs (as you do) and stumbled on (well more looked for actually) the designs for the <a href="http://webdb1.patent.gov.uk/RightSite/formexec?DMW_INPUTFORM=tpo_biblio&DMW_SEARCH_TEXT= 2047984&PREVIOUS_FORM=BROWSE&PREVIOUS_SEARCH_FORM= NULL&BROWSER_TYPE=nav4" target="_blank">iPhone</a>. More interestingly however were the designs for the new <a href="http://webdb1.patent.gov.uk/RightSite/formexec?DMW_INPUTFORM=tpo_biblio&DMW_SEARCH_TEXT= 2012459&PREVIOUS_FORM=BROWSE&PREVIOUS_SEARCH_FORM= NULL&BROWSER_TYPE=nav4" target="_blank">iHandbag</a>
.
Ok so the iPhone looks a bit dated (and IS by the reg date) but shows substance in the rumours of a mobile device. The iHandbag however is positively ancient!

<strong>haha look OLD</strong><hr></blockquote>
yeah i know and yeah it does look 'retarded' but if they were patenting a design way back then (and the design is quite good given the date), it shows that they have at least seriously toyed with the idea of producing a device to the point of giving it a budget.
eight years later, who knows (apart from them) they may feel now that the 'hub' idea is becoming realised, that it's time is now.
of course on the other hand they may just look back at this as the misappropriation of funds by a previous CEO
the handbag? ideas anyone? why <img src="graemlins/hmmm.gif" border="0" alt="[Hmmm]" />
retarded sounds about right
