My external HD doesn't mount

While leaving my mac on, my ext firewire HD(maxtor) went to sleep. When i resumed activity, it sorta mounted, but my computer doesn't fully recognize it. Now whenever i plug it in, i get the option to either ignore it or initialize it. Disk utility quits when i select the drive. Drive 10 sees it but can't repair it.

    You'll need Diskwarrior then, or maybe Systemworks (though that will come less highly recommended).
