can i COPY an idvd project to an external burner?

i have a superdrive in my powerbook, but it's only 1x of course for dvd-r's. i have a project where i'll need multiple copies of the same disk. is there a way to burn on idvd on the internal drive and then make copies using my 2x external drive? would it work just like a cd?

    I believe that you can do this with Toast, but I'm not entirely positive. I know you can burn data DVDs with Toast... adn to external burners too, but I'm not sure if there is copy protection on it or not.

    I'm almost positive you can make a disc image using toast or Disc Copy (/Applications/Utilities) of the DVD you burned in iDVD, then using that image as a master to burn others with your external 2X, I don't think Copy Protection will be a problem.
