where to buy a digital camera in USA?
Im probably going to buy a SONY Cybershot P8 and am probably going to be in NYC in mid August. Here, with taxes (in Paris) I can get the thing for about 380euros (400+USD) and it includes a 32MB stick.
I saw some prices on web already at 345usd (taxes excluded).
Whats the best way to go about buying a camera in US? I was thinking of getting it online then having it sent to the address I will be staying at in NYC so I dont have to pay sales tax.
Or.. was thinking of going down to 5th Avenue and haggle with the stores there for a good deal (like I did a few years ago).
Suggestions? Any good e-tailers?
thanks

I don't know how their prices stack up. Usually they are good and i've been able to negotiate a bit sometimes but im sure that depends on what you want.
The store itself is pretty crazy. Run by a bunch of jews and it has everything..... and all the orders are flying around your head on tracks.
have a good price, at least 50usd less than anywhere else I saw...

I don't know why, but this makes me
I just got my Sony P8 and its great... but the 16MB card it comes with is just silly.
I wanted to order the memory from here in europe so that when I get to my friend's place, its waiting for me.
Alas, J&R and B&H are based in NY therefore tax has to be added.
Any National vendors with good prices I can buy from? Suggestions?
If it aint too much sales tax, I could just go down to J&R and buy it.
