stupid fan upgrade!!!!

Dual 867 mdd that is way too loud. I found some1 to sell it to so i can get a g5. Im selling for 800 but they need the thing to be quiet because it will be the server in their home. Just got the new power powersupply and thing thing is just as loud but higher pitch. In other words, more annoying!!!!! Does anyone ave any help? Or even better does anyone know if the thermometer can get broken? Cuz the fan for the cpu blows as hard as it can all the time.

    You could trying an overclock site or something like www.coolerguys.com and others that specialise in cooling tech as it often has special stuff to quietn them as well.



    You will, of course, make your mac non standard.

    i've heard a few of them upgraded, all of them were both quieter and lower pitched.
