Yep. The speed refers to the max speed that the RAM can run at without producing errors. The motherboard chooses the speed at which the RAM operates. Thus, the quicker, 7ns, RAM will run at the slower rate even though it is certified to be stable at quicker speeds.
ok that is what i thoght but i had to check...haha my impatient boss went ahead cuz he didn't want to wait while i verified...so he payed almost 2x as much ...that'll teach him
