External FW Drive has removable "insert"...what is it?

Firewire Depot has a Firewire 2.5" drive that has a "removable insert" in it...what does that mean? Is it a slip of paper that you can use as a decorative element behind the plastic? Has anybody got one of these gizmos and can you explain what this means?

    Yeah, the one in Drew's post seems to have some sort of metal/silver-colored piece that wraps around the top half, under the glass, hiding the "guts".



    The link in the post above is obviously without that insert, and you can see the insides through the enclosure.



    You could take the one that comes with it, measure it for a template and make your own cool ones!







    BTW, anyone remember those 1400 PowerBooks with those art inserts? A buddy of mine had one years ago and it just dawned on me fairly recently that one of my favorite Illustrators - Michael Bartalos - did a design for Apple that they used.
