While i still haven't seen the G5 in person, I think it's pretty cool looking. That said, there have been many who have expressed their displeasure of the lack of drive bays.

I really hope Apple will keep the current G4 towers around as the low cost headless expandable Mac many others have clamoured for. Alsi because quite simply it's enclosure is still awesome and for many, 1.42 gHz is fast enough.

El Capitan is Oooooold. I do hope they keep it around though for low cost reasons. Don't much care about the Drive Bays personally but if you have legacy equipment then I can understand.

I'm definitely getting a G5 someday. I have an affinity for Aluminum cases(I love the durability and heat dissipation properties).

    A bit faster than 1.4

Has Apple made any official declaration on the life expectancy of the G4 tower? I think perhaps that it may depend on the sales over the next 6 months.
