Starcraft Broodwar disk image doesn't work
Tired of popping my Starcraft Broodwar CD in/out of the Superdrive, I used disk copy to create a disk image (which I then mounted). But when I try to play the game, it asks me to insert the CD. Ahh! Realizing that some games are copy protected so that a disk image won't work, can anyone confirm that a Starcraft Broodwar disk image won't substitute for the CD, or did I just screw-up the disk image somehow? Thanks.
p.s. Brad, I posted here because I figured disk image was an OS issue. Plus, I know that you play Starcraft.

Moving to Software.
It definitely works. I seem to recall that my image was created by Disk Copy in OS X, in case you might be trying this in 9.

Hmm... I'll fiddle with it tonight and see what I can make happen, if anything. Any trick to this or just the usual disk copy routine?

Try Roxio's Toast, or make sure you create a cd/dvd master in Disk Copy, of your disk....geist
I created another disk image (compressed) and this one seemed to work. I added the disk image to the login items, so it will mount automatically when I boot. And it worked again. Happy me.
I tried the CD/DVD Master, and that didn't work. I don't know enough to explain why, but everything is in order now.
Thanks.
