well, we've all heard the rumors about Bill and the Devil right? Well check this out. Go to this link. In the upper right hand corner there is a basic white Microsoft logo. Right click it and save the image to disk.

Look on your desktop now, and you will see an interesting message...

(if you want to skip doing it yourself, what you get is a gif named "666666". pretty weird. probably some web designer having some fun. right?)

    actually, you're partly right.

the grey background has a hex value of "#666666", a standard gray shade.

the name of the gif is due to the fact that M$ uses many different background colors on their pages. the file name is simply to signify which page the logo should appear on.

it should be just 666, not 66666 if you believe in those things.

Eh, that's a bit creepy indeed (not the GIF, but the link CodeWarrior provided). Meh, but it could be him as much as anyone else (although I hadn't thought about it being him -- creepier thing about the whole antichrist thing is that the Bible says he's always been here, ever since Christ walked the earth, planning for his ascent).

Microsoft's actions become a little more scary...

But wait, this is hogwash, right? \
