I am considering getting a Panasonic AG-DVX100 24P camcorder, and wanted to see if Sony or Canon will be offering something similar soon. That's when I came across these threads at <a href="http://www.2-pop.com"; target="_blank">www.2-pop.com</a> mentioning Apple and their Final Cut Pro 4, 1394b (Gigawire), XRaid, etc. Poster "HDFan" says a bunch of high end Panasonic video gear awaits certain announcements by Apple.

Having Apple come up with a integrated HDTV editing solution would be great. The cameras mentioned look like they should be amazing. I am suspicious though due to two things:

    1. Would a company like Panasonic really wait for Apple to get ready or wouldn't it be a smarter business move to have a company like Avid come out with a product now and wait for Apple?

    2. When people capitalize "Apple" (i.e. "APPLE") it always gives me pause.
