According to this article they are:

However, according to the following it's LG Electronics that will no longer make desktops for Apple, with Hon Hai taking over production of the computers.

So, two articles seemingly related with two different possibilities. Don't you love the internet!

Did LG Electronics also assemble Apple's notebook line of computers?

Why do supliers like LG-E get higher profit-margins for notebooks than for desktops?

[quote]The DigiTimes reports "The 17-inch flat-panel iMac will terminate production in June, following the same fate as the 15-inch flat-panel model, which stopped production last October...It is estimated that about 500,000 to 600,000 flat-panel iMacs were sold in 2002 following their introduction last January. The once highflying desktop computer, which created a buzz with its desk lamp-like look, is expected to sell another 300,000 to 400,000 units between now and June."

So what does this mean? No more iMac? A new iMac is coming? The iMac willb e replaced by a new cube? (Like that riddle, the 2nd coming...etc)? Or just a new company will make the iMacs?
