New Mplayer out for Panther

in macOS edited January 2014

But when I download it it's a bunch of files that look like they need compiled even though it says "binaries" can anyone shed some light on this? I'd love to try out the panther version.

Er, try it out then! The files you speak of are *.conf, which means they are config files. There are no sexy icons for the binaries, if that is what you mean.

This is a command-line mplayer, no gui, so I doubt it's what you want. BTW, MPlayer works fine in OSX for me, I'm using 2.0(?)
