My dad is getting my sister's iBook, but it doesn't have OS X on it, and I want to clear her HD and load OS X on it for him. Also will it matter if I get 133Mhz Ram for the iBook even if it is the 500Mhz with only 100Mhz of ram on it?
No, the ram speed of the ram won't affect it (as long as you get minimum spec - 100mhz or 133mhz). The 133 will just clock down to 100. As for how to clear the HD: when you're installing OS X, there will be an option to erase the HD and format as HFS+ near the beginning. Just choose that option and you'll be all set. If you're planning on using other machines that use OS 9 with that computer or using that computer to boot into 9 make sure you install OS 9 drivers too. It should be a fairly prominent option on the screen.

Thanks!
Start up the iBook from the OSX cd, then when the Installer start's up, in the File menu, there's a disk utility. Use it to format (erase) the HD. Then install osx.
BTW, 133mhz memory will work in the iBook just fine as long as it is the correct type (ie: pins, latency etc). It just means the RAM is rated to work AS FAST AS 133mhz.
