Backlit Keyboard Technology...
I wonder if this technology will make it into the future line of Apple Pro (perhaps wireless?) keyboards for the desktop Mac matrix as well as portables.
I would personally LOVE to have a nice "smart" Apple keyboard that would light up at night. You know, for those late nights at work.

definatly a bad example but i too would like to have this, playing games in the dark make the screen look alot better, but it is often hard to see the keys then, i use colors christmas lights to show the keys but still keey the room semi dark
but i guess you would have to be in a low light enviorment to see them.
just a thought
Just so I'm clear, the new mini-Powerbook does NOT have the backlit keyboard. Is that correct?

Correct.
From Apple's Specs on PB site:
Ambient light sensor
Measures ambient light and works with integrated software to adjust keyboard illumination and screen brightness based on user preferences (17-inch model)
I would really like to see an Apple's 2 button (with both left and right clicks) scroll mouse. That would be perfect!!

4 buttons + scroll + Illumination in the dark + big Apple logo, and were off to scare some peecee Quaker's @$$'$!
Oooh, or a Merlin/Dance Dance Revolution style game where you have to press the lit keys as they progress.
And that Typing Tutor thing would be cool, especially in schools <6th grade. One problem however; You would need a independent LED for every key, and that sucks battery time.
