They're free to download from the Apple Site, but I get such a terribly low transfer speed. I can't leave my Mac on 38 hours to wait for it to finish...is there anywhere else it's available, which gives a faster speed?
i'm pretty sure that apple requires that people only get it straight from the source. anyone who tells you otherwise is probably referring you to some illegal channel. i dont think i ever had problems downloading from apple. i think my speeds tended to be in the 100-300k/s range.

BTW, I just noticed that the ADC site has been redesigned.

Someone on another forum gave me the answer.
I live in the UK, and chose the European server, which was giving me speeds of under 5k/sec.
He told me to use the US one, which I did, and it's giving me over 55k/sec.
So, there we go!
Maybe they are changing all the xServes over to the new ones that they haven't told anyone about yet. and there is currently no load balancing.

didn't realize that you were from out of country. such international issues never occur to me.

I'm not from out of country, *you're* from out of country!
Infallible logic indeed
