Do I upgrade to the 250GB HD

-or-

Add 512MB/1GB of RAM?

this in itself poses a question...do i buy 1GB of cheap generic 3200 or do i buy a good 512MB DIMM from crucial?

i am leaning toward the HD because the RAM can be easily upgraded later as the HD can't be updated as easily...i'm just curious, i know in my brother g4 256MB -->768MB there was a world of speed difference...am i going to be taking a big speed penalty by only having 512MB in my computer?

...haha or neither and buy an iSight, does it work for a mic for everything...like can i use it with Speakable items adn netphone?

Buy more RAM : one GB is good. Buy two 256 MB PC 3200 DIMMs from Crucial. I won't be confident in no name PC 3200 ram.

I'd say buy the HD. You can always add both RAM and HDs to your computer, but if you decide that you want a new primary HD, you've got to figure out how to get your stuff to it. It's pretty simple to do, but more of a pain than slapping in a new RAM chip. Either way, you can't go wrong.

why two 256's instead of a 512...and if non-parity is better why is that cheaper on crucials site

You have to install the RAM in pairs.

Nopes, not one for each processor, but yes because of dual banks.

The system can read/write to both the banks at the same time. Thus giving a massive speed boost. But the whole system, has access to all the RAM.
