I like address book. I recently stopped using Entourage and went back to Address book.

One thing I hope they improver on address book is the ability to distinguish when you create groups and catagories.

Address Book is so simple looking that when I look at my groups, I don't know if I included all the names I needed to in the group.

No, what I'm really saying is that when I look at ALL the names in my Address Book I'd like to see what Groups they may belong to (by color or whatever) without going into the gorups themselves.

Am I making any sense here??

I think I get you, like if they were colour coded depending on the group ?

The only problem is what happens if you have the same person in two groups. Would it then be striped?

I absolutely agree with you as this Address Book needs some improvements including the intuitive look such as coding colours like the new Panther label!

As being deaf myself, I do have an intuitive perspective on how the ALL & Directories can be compared or ever the new groups be distinguised rather than all groups and inside the groups all names must be in the same grouping folder, not in the ALL folder that can be pretty confusing for all Mac users.

I come from Sydney, NSW Australia, I wish to go to San Franscisco to meet Steve Jobs and communicate with him by sign language and express what I want to improve most Apple apps with intuitive features so that most users would have an easy life with a clear picture, not only for the deafies, we are all equal, so hopefully, Steve would listen or watch my gestures or body language of how the features would look like!

If it sounds too much, I predict this would be so soon than never! Anyone object??? Excuse me this is my real language second to English, I mean Auslan - Australian Sign Language like ASL - American Sign Language.

I know time would improve with the new versions of the Mac OS X in the future. I am the one to lobby for the Deafiies' sake and of course for the global users!

Does it make sense to you??

If I remember rightly, you could select which colour (group) was the default colour for each person.

YES - ABSOLUTELY. (Excellent post and passion for the Mac!)

Perhaps you could get into touch with CHISIG and find out what they have to say about improving usability with OS X (or computers in general for that matter).

I'd like to see some support for this amazing thing called "punctuation." Like Last-name COMMA First-name, City COMMA State.
