There are many bright individuals here...surely many with their own successful small businesses.
If you have been blessed and are independantly wealthy (or comfortable), what do you attribute it to?

I will answer a, b, c
For a , i didn't work hard all times during my studies, sometimes i was a little bit lazy, but i have worked hard at 100 % of my capacities when it was needed (for enter in medecine, and for being a specialist).
b schooling : in my aera this is mandatory, no way to have an alternative way to get this job
c : good luck and timing are always needed, however you have to help the luck
d : an element is to choose the job, where you are the most scheduled for. I don't think i will have been more successful i had choose an other job.

As with all the above & an ability to pick myself up off the ground..and just keep on keeping on regardless of the pain....
Besides..how do you measure true success..?
I am blessed every day I am given another day to be creative, to explore & to overcome my own limitations...

I measure success simply.. I am happy and thankful with what I have now but always seek to learn, share and love as I am able. Life is all about relationships, learning and having respect for others. We all like to have some toys and travel etc. at the end of the day however it all comes back to relationships, learning and having respect for others.
