Today I was told by an apple genius who said that there was a way for an internal bluetooth module for the current 15in powerbook. A sales guy the local mac sotre confirmed this. Then I talked to an apple rep at comp usa and he the only buetooth was the D-link dongle. I dont see any options for an internal BT at the Apple store. So whats the deal? Anybody know for sure?

Thanks

You could do a hardware hack by rerouting one of the USB-ports internally, and placing the USB dongle where the PCCard otherwise would have been. MacSlash had an artichle on this topic.

well, I don't really know. I did a quick search, and This card has an internal antenna. It does however seem to stick out a little bit.

    Here's one that doesn't stick out: http://www.socketcom.com/product/BL4517-386.asp

It's probably not Mac compatible, though.

I'm not sure. I did a search at macmall for "bluetooth" and it was one of the cards that came up and it said dual platform. BUt i dont see any drivers on their site.
