Open .doc, .xls, .ppt in IE or Safari

Hi,



I'm just wondering if it is possible to open up .doc, .xls,and .ppt in IE or Safari running on Mac's much like in Windows where one can choose to open in browser instead of a separate Office window. If one can, how would I go about making this the default?



Also, has anyone downloaded the new Office Update 10.1.4 and gotten Exchange server to work right as far as synching addresses and calendar items?

    No, its not possible to open Microsoft Office files inline. When I've worked for clients that have office files I convert them to PDF for those without access to a $500 office suite. Also Power Point (as well as other office apps) allows export to web. The code is horrible but those are the only choices AFAIK.
