Sugestions on personal laser printers

I'm a new college student moving into a dorm room and looking for a SMALL monochrome USB or firewire laser printer. It just needs to be basic in terms of resolution, and I don't even really care how fast it is. I'd like it to be under $250 too. I like the HP1000, but there doesn't appear to be any Mac drivers for it. Does anyone know if HP is planning on developing a mac driver for the 1000? Otherwise, I'd love to get suggestions on other printers. Have a great day, and thanks for you help!

i can't reccomend this printer more. i got one last year for school... best thing i've ever bought. the "tester" toner is STILL going strong.. i was printing out essays, course notes etc all year.... there are OS X drivers (buried deeeep in samsung's page... but they're there). works great. i love it. my sister loves hers.. and my girlfriend loves hers too!

I'm looking to get the Brother HL-5070N

I like this printer for a few reasons.

    1. Built in 10/100 Network Interface

    2. Price $399(Costco)

    3. Rendezvous

    4. Speed

Hopefully I'll be able to pick it up before years end.
