Need Help!

Hi everyone,



I've got a problem, and I was wondering if someone could help me out. I will be traveling abroad to Tokyo for my major for school(GO PENN STATE) in the spring of 2004, and I need a PB. Like everyone else, I am waiting for the new PB, but I can't decide whether I should get the 12 or the 15 (if Apple is keeping the same product line of 12,15, and 17). I realize the size of the 12" will be beneficial in Tokyo, but I would much prefer the larger 15" screen size and possibly better/faster features, and the 17" is out of the question. I will mainly be using it for word processing, email, iPhoto, etc. I am open to any suggestions (I WILL NOT get a Wintel laptop). THANKS!!



p.s. I am also planning to buy a digital camera, any suggestions?

Gosh, if you don't need the wide-screen and extra pixel real estate, I have a hard time recommending anything more than the 12". You'll do very well with its features, and the small size will make it a cinch to keep it with you to/from/around Tokyo.



Plus, since the 15" HASN'T been updated, you're going to get an overall better feature set from the 12" than it's next bigger brother.

a sony dcs f717, is a stunning camera...

only problem: almost as big as a pb 12".

Will you be needing it right away, or can you wait until just before you go?

If you can wait, I'm sure there'll be an update before then.

As for cameras, I have to agree with a previous post on the Canons. I have a Powershot S40 and it takes awesome pictures.

I don't like the 12 inch Powerbook. It's just a more expensive metal iBook.



Maybe if it actually had some powerbook features besides the G4 i would recommend it
