OK I haven't yet updated to Juguar(i'm on 10.1.5)

I was about to but they announced Panther.



What kind of a speed increace should I expect from Jaguar ?



And my Mac should be even faster with Panther right?

Lately my Mac has slowed down a lot...can't wait for Panther

Panther is supposed to sing by nearly all accounts. It will be MUCH quicker than Puma, and Jaguar is already much faster than Puma right now. But Panther is rumored to come out in a little over a month (end of September, though that' not a sure thing). It will be well worth the wait, if you can hold out.

If your Mac is slowing down, you might try backing up your existing data and reinstalling.

not sure what it is w/ 10.1.x, but it for some reason likes to gradually slow down, i noticed this happening w/ mine when i went home one weekend and my parent's imac 350 felt 100% snappy vs my 867g4 which was feeling more like molasses

If that's the case, when you upgrade you'll want to do a clean install. But make sure you backup and important data first!

I wish Panther was out already, I'll be sure to do a clean intall. I was gonna do a clean intall on Puma but I'll just wait. I'll take the time to make sure everything is backed up.
