Wow, I watched the movie and at the end it kicks ass.

There is just some sense of satisfaction in watching 6.7' foot Jason kick 5.9'? Freddy's ass in the real world. My favorite part was the way Freddy got brought back into the real world.

Comment's anyone?

The real test of a horror movie is if the can get both a kill and nudity in the first 5 minutes. This one comes close enough. The first kill might actually be after 5 minutes, but there's more nudity in the beginning than normal so that kind of keeps you busy until the first kill.

No, it was sarcasm. But still, 80's style horror films are so bad you need something to grab your attention.

When I was a kid in the 80's, we watched all the Friday the 13th films because we got gore and nudity, both of which were of specific interest to us. I didn't know about the "five minute rule", but the way we looked at it, we got nudity, and then we saw people killed. it was great!

Not really a rule, just more of a guideline and for the exact reason you posted.

Minor coincidence: this movie was filmed mostly in Vancouver and the main 'location' was the house immediately behind that of my brother and sister-in-law. Everyone in the neighbourhood received notices that the filming would take place partly at night and that there would be some noise associated with it.

This warning turned out to be merited: the filming often went on until quite late at night (I guess horror films need plenty of darkness) and there was noise. The most annoying part of the noise was the endless screams of the actors and actresses (especially actresses, apparently) as they pretended that they were stalked, captured and killed. Lovely.
