What to do about a dead pixel

What should I do if I think I have a dead pixel? It's a teal dot near the right edge of my screen. I have both a 15" ASD and AppleCare.

    Nothing...

One dead pixel is nothing to worry about. Apple Care won't touch it anyway... they will only replace an ASD with 5 to 6 or more dead pixels. One is not that bad. You could bitch and bitch until Apple Care will replace it but the replacement will have a good chance of having more than one dead pixel.

    Relax. Damit.

If it's teal (not black) it's stuck, not dead. You can try gently massaging it with a soft cloth to see if it will become unstuck. I've seen that work. I've also seen stuck pixels become unstuck over time on their own.

My boss claimed he could do that, and I thought he was pulling my leg!
