I hate these kind of screens:

I think I could live with a screen like that.

i'm wondering wether depleted uranium would make a good base...

it'd probably appeal to stevie-boy's environmentalist yearnings, plus, given the weight, it'd allow for a smaller base volume...

I think it would be cool for an iMac kinda one, so the monitor could be put every which way. This would also need to be supported by a sturdy, as well as heavy, base <img src="graemlins/cancer.gif" border="0" alt="[cancer]" /> <img src="graemlins/cancer.gif" border="0" alt="[cancer]" /> <img src="graemlins/cancer.gif" border="0" alt="[cancer]" /> <img src="graemlins/cancer.gif" border="0" alt="[cancer]" />

Introducing the Worlds first all Aluminum Screen.

.1" Thick, roles up into a ball, and can even be used on the grill:

Actually, 3 months ago that wouldv'e been funny. However, now Apple has really good prices and I'm sure that trend will continue with the iMacs.

Yea, it's a nice monitor but the grey is way too dark. Not sure if they are mimicing the TiBook or what, even so, it looks way too dark. That screen in the new AiBook aluminum would be sweet.

yup, right now the only 23" screen I'd buy would be the Sony SDM-P232. I don't like Apple's current enclosures at all, all that clear plastic doesn't do it for me. It's plastic, and it looks like plastic. 2" worth of el cheapo plastic all round.
