another 23" LCD concern

When the screen is black on my 23" HDCD it shows an annoying white shine at the bottom. It's like there is some light from the backlight taking the wrong side of the pixels. Only when it's dark in the room and the screen displays dark colours or black it is notable, yet it is very annoying, especially when watching movies.

Now, is this a *cinema* display or not?

Does someone has the same problem with her/his display?

Would this be an issue for a replacement?

My display is still under guarantee.

thanks

This is an issue with every LCD display I've ever seen, and it's one reason everyone still uses CRTs for color-sensitive film work.

    Mark,

I have also the 17" LCD with an absolutely perfect display of all colours including black. I also never noticed the white glow on other big LCDs.

I must say I did not saw a lot of other displays though.

Is there anybody else with this problem?
