recent virii due to out of work programmer/IT professionals?

i have this theory that due to collapse of dot'com, and the bad economy that followed, a lot of programmers and IT professionals with programming capabilities are out of work. Since they have nothing to do, they write worms



purely tongue in cheek, what do you think? Do i have any basis in making this observation?

    Eh, it only takes one person to find the hole, and then it's open.



    I betcha this would have happened with or without dot bomb, or whatever you want to call it.
