I want to upgrade the ram in my 9600 to about 512MB or more. I'm looking at OWC and they have memory there that is 25.99 that's says FPM non-EDO. then they have a 26.99 that's just EDO. Both sticks are 128MB's. Which one is better.

Might as well go with the FPM. It can use EDO but treats it as FPM anyway.

EDO is slightly faster if the Mac can use it. I'm surprised that the 9600 can't use EDO.

Ah, the bad old days when Apple used previous-generation RAM. I don't miss 'em.
