Stubborn Desktop Icon!

Anyone know why a single desktop icon (relating to one partition of the HD) won't accept a custom icon?



I've logged out and back in, turned my computer off and back on and forced finder to relaunch....but all I've got is the generic icon rather than the one I'm pasting on.



(This is one of five partitions, all the others are fine. I'm using OSX 10.2.6)

    One way which it'll work, but is not recommended is log in as root and then change the icon. Otherwise, make sure you have all the right permissions.

    Okay thanks..I got it (don't know why I didn't think of it) Just checked the box telling it to ignore permissions...and it swapped.
