    I've been working off of a 1TB (terabyte) X-Serve at work and the thing rocks, fast, fast, fast...currently only 458GB available

    So, does anyone around here have in HD editing experience. I'm gearing up for a thirty-minute short to be shot in 24P. At the moment I'm prepared to simply offline the show using downconverted DV and then onlining at post-house.



    But, I've been producing in DV resolution at online quality for so long that I would really rather import the HD footage natively, cut it, photoshop it, composit and layer it, color correct it and master it all on my Mac (I'm cheaper than a technician at $350/hr).



    Will the xRAID do the job?

    The Xraid will definately work for you but, you should check out the page where they talk about throughput and what it will handle.



    Are you using a Kona or Pinnacle sys Hd card?

    I'm still doing my research. I'm leaning toward the Kona card with an Xraid solution. So far, it looks like the Xraid will be more than adequate for my needs.
