So every piece of evidence in the anthrax case points to Zack. It's almost like an open and shut case when you look at it. Yet nothing has been done. What gives?

We know he was the only one who entered the lab without authorization. We know zack was forced out for reasons described below:

Quote:

Assaad said he was working on the Saturday before Easter 1991, just after the Persian Gulf War had ended, when he discovered an eight-page poem in his mailbox. The poem, which became a court exhibit, is 47 stanzas -- 235 lines in all, many of them lewd, mocking Assaad. The poem also refers to another creation of the scientists who wrote it -- a rubber camel outfitted with all manner of sexually explicit appendages.

The poem reads: "In [Assaad's] honor we created this beast; it represents life lower than yeast." The camel, it notes, each week will be given "to who did the least."

The poem also doubles as an ode to each of the participants who adorned the camel, who number at least six and referred to themselves as "the camel club." Two -- Dr. Philip M. Zack and Dr. Marian K. Rippy -- voluntarily left Fort Detrick soon after Assaad brought the poem to the attention of supervisors.

Assaad was intially singled out as a suspect in the mailings after and anonymous letter described "him as 'a potential terrorist,' with a grudge against the United States and the knowledge to wage biological warfare against his adopted country." Let's see if we all can figure out where that came from. Assaad has since been fully cleared.

Meanwhile, all attention is on Hatfill even though there is no evidence linking him to the anthrax mailings.

Because the US is still trying to pin the whole thing on Richard Jewel. They've almost got enough evidence this time.

Oh my god. You have you lost it. There's NO evidence to indicate that Zack did anything illegal. You DON'T know that he was the only person to enter the lab without authorization. You have NO evidence that he removed any samples. NO evidence that he cultivated any spores. NO evidence that he weaponized it. No evidence that he mailed it. You ONLY know that he entered the building unauthorized. You don't even know what he did in that building. You can't even show proof that samples left the building. You don't even have circumstantial evidence. Unless you have another link that you didn't post?

Even you can't be this obtuse giant. What gives?

Perhaps you won't mind if Zack is put to the same public scrutiny as Hatfill, though.

'Person of interest' seems fitting to me, in this case.

I wouldn't be surprised if the FBI asked him some questions but giant's made a huge leap here. I don't know why exactly the FBI keeps going after Hatfill so maybe him and Zack are in the same boat?

Won't happen. Zack is a Republican and is therefore protected by the 'GWB is a GOB For Me' Act.

That's rich, scott! you don't even know why they are looking at hatfill, yet you play like you have a clue about the case.

Fact is, everything points to zack, plain and simple. Go on and do your whole 'no it's not' routine all you want; it just give us some comic relief.

Well, I don't know if we can assume that Zack isn't being looked at by authorities, but he definately should be. The tip-off to the fbi about assaad could have come from Zack. If so, it could point to him being the anthrax source, or it could be he just made an attempt to embarrass Assaad.

I didn't see in UCLA article anything saying that Zack was the only unauthorised person to enter the lab, just that he did enter without authorization. Doesn't exclude others.
