quicktime Broadcaster vs. uGrabIt
Why is Quicktime Broadcaster so much slower than ugrabit (www.versiontracker.com) when I record Video to disc with my iSight.
On my 12" Powerbook with 256MB Ram I get around 10fps on Quicktime Broadcaster and 25-30fps in ugrabit.
Both use the same codec (DV pal) and same resolution (720*576).
The only problem with uGrabIt is that it's shareware (only 9?).
What I want to know is why there is such a speed difference, is it only because of that Broadcasting thing, how can I turn it off?
Would more Ram help Quicktime Broadcaster?
Thanks
