Dual G5 ship dates pushed by Apple

My order made on 6/23 was scheduled to ship 9/3 from Macconection.

They just told me that Apple updated them today and pushed all ship dates for the dual's to 9/19.

    That 8/3 date sounds completely bogus...looks like they were making it up from the start.



    Or did you mean 9/3?

    It was also standard config.

    My Apple Online Store order still says 8/29.

    I would bet since other G5's are so few in actual shipped orders the delay is probably real and lame!

    Ok, so now its Friday, 8/29. My ship date is still listed as today. With all the order dates sliding around, I'm surprised mine is still "on schedule". I'm still not holding my breath.

    several mac news sites are reporting orders being pushed back, but it isn't clear if this is many different people, or three people who are whining and complaining to anyone who will listen to them.



    i just want to point out that when glancing at thinksecret right now, and saw the following headline:



    Notes: Dual-2GHz G5,

    PowerBooks, FileMaker, more



    well, i didn't notice the comma in between the "G5" and "PowerBooks" -- i think i have soiled myself.
