Kernel in Panther....
...so I notice this oddity when running Panther. Activity monitor, top, and any benchmark I run, all show that one of my processors is absolutely useless.
I have a Dual 867. And in B28, 39, and 44 (haven't used 49 yet), one processor shows as being used 100% by system processes, though I can find no thread in top or activity monitor that is using 100% of one of my processors.
Is the kernel compiled for two processors? I can't seem to remember the command for checking the kernel id file.
Anyone else see this?
I've even done a fresh install to see if it was some weird "upgrade" error. But nothing seems to solve the issue.
