Panrther, a tremendous improvement or less?

I have a question to those of you who are running the beta version of Panther.

Is it a tremendous improvement over Jaguar or somewhat less of an improvement?

I think as far as GUI is concerned it's an evolutionary improvement, but how about performance wise?
