    The Finder

Seriously, I really LOVED NetFinder back in OS 8 days. They do have an OS X version, but I haven't used it enough to know if it's stable and reliable. I do know that it still has some hangovers from OS 9, tho.

Finder? it's read only and crashes OS X hard half the time.

Transmit. Don't use anything else. At all. Ever.

    Transmit (http://panic.com/)

It's shareware, but the messages that pop up reminding you to register are hilarious.

yes transmit - has sftp support that is very fast. i asked them to add webdav support and they said maybe... pretty cheap too. if you cant afford 17 bucks then you have other problems. i tried all the free ones and they suck - command line client is okay but not if you have a bunch of directories.

ps. netfinder is a good idea but just doesn't work very well (seems to hang a lot)

Panther will at least bring a decent interface and support for FTP-downloads. Uploads is another matter...

I too use Transmit in Jaguar, at least

I really like Fetch. It is free for students and Education/Charitable organizations, and only $25 for the rest of us.

Fetch is free if you are a student.

Many people argue with me about this little app. But it works for me.

I use Transmit. It's not free, but it works really well. As others have said, you can get Fetch free if you're in ed (as I believe you are, Matsu).

OT: Leonis, wtf is up with this:

Transmit is the way to go. It beats the hell out of free FTP clients. And at least for a while, it's free too.

I'd get Transmit, the timeout was annoying, but I liked a lot so just bought it, been happy ever since.

still using vpc to handle all ftp jobs, no one can beat FlashFXP on windows.

very bad indeed there is no good ftp client for mac users.

all above mentioned can not meet my standard

    1.can not support FXP mode

2.can not support asian fold name, also the file

the two major problems convinced me to be back to vpc, back to the FlashFXP.

I have never heard of FXP, and after searching a bit I'm still not quite sure what it is. If it's that obscure, I wouldn't go so far as to label clients that don't support it as bad. As for Asian (and other UTF-16) fonts, I'm fairly certain Transmit and a few others have that covered.

Fxp mode is a serve to serve transfering mode, and your machine acts the role of remote control, if you are close to an underground sharing world, you would understand how important it is.

Asian fonts at my side are not compatible at all, all the folders and files are freaky unknown, so any ideas on how to configure transmit to make it displaying properly ? waiting for the answers, thx
