okay, I think I have really lost it now...

first off: is there a command or man entry for "heartbeat" in unix?

I ask because I come back from my lunch break after leaving my station on (goes into screen saver, password protected, and yes I've run the software update to fix the password bug). Anyhow, I had terminal left open and when I log back into the station I see what looks like someone searching for man pages on "heartbeat".

[user:~] user% man heartbeat

No manual entry for heartbeat

[user:~] user% heartbeat

heartbeat: Command not found.

[user:~] user%

I'm like wtf...

somebody explain...

Freshmeat has an exact match for heartbeat, but that doesn't really mean much.

When did the screen saver activate? My screen saver activates after 20 minutes of inactivty on the keyboard and mouse. Maybe somebody went to your station right after you left and the screen saver didn't have a chance to activate.
