Sideways scrolling...another reason for people not to have to worry about thinking when designing webpages that fit into the standard resolution.

I guess this would only be useful for desktop publishing.

Black leather, huh? The Microsoft BDSM mouse. Great.

Somewhere in here is a joke about using Windows and sado-masochism...but I'm just not clever enough to put it all together real cool.

Black leather, I think someone's been very naughty.

I think leather was a nice touch, unfortunately it's not practical. Wait until someone is working with that thing using a sweaty hand day after day. It'll soak up that stink so fast you'll hear a sonic boom.

Maybe it would make a nice **** **** if you're into that kind of thing.

I can think of another reason why someone might get sweaty palms furiously clicking and trying to close pop-upwindows of some uhh... sites..

You know you can sideways scroll in OS X if you hold down shift while you scroll. It's pretty handy... that is if you have your other hand on the keyboard... and not... uh...

Sideway scrolling sounds nice to me.

Yes, shift scrolling works, but scrolling up and down to go left to right is highly counter-intuitive.

Sideways scrolling is nice, but why wouldn't you reshape and redesign the scrollwheel from its current form when you do it? Seems like an odd way of combining the two at first glance at least.

BTW, how many people actually use their middle finger on the scroll wheel? I've kind of wondered why it's in the place it is, other than it second as the "middle" mouse button, equally arbitrary. Always seems like an uncomfortable spot to me.

I've never used my middle finger on the scroll wheel... always jump my index finger over and back.

I just realized this now, after reading your post.

Meh, I have sideways scrolling enabled when I press the wheel in and scroll (thumb scrolls, MS trackball).

That's interesting. I have my middle mouse wheel click set to command - "<-" (left arrow) to go back in web pages. I use it so much at at home that I use it on my PeeCee at work.

I use cocoa gestures for web page manipulation, ie click and drag left to move back. I want more mouse buttons, 5 isn't enough 8)

Sounds stupid... I rather get a wireless chargeable Logitech mouse, which probably costs less too.

I had no idea. Thanks! That's cool. OS X is just as full of neat tricks as OS 9. Any more tricks?
