Disabling USB input devices.

I'm thinking of buying Steim JunXion and a few USB trackballs for use as MIDI controllers. But I wouldn't want them to still have an effect on the position of the cursor when I'm using them for live music.

Is there a way that I can disable these devices from controlling the cursor while still sending input information?

Reading the specs, it sounds like this software will disable whatever USB device you want to not act as the cursor and exclusively run the MIDI gear.

As they have a demo, if you have access to a second USB mouse (or any other pointing device), you might want to try it that way before you spend the money.

Thanks but unfortunately not.. I tried the extra mouse idea, and still can't find any way of stopping it from moving the cursor, I also tried "USB Overdrive" but it seems to treat both mice as one.

I'm sure there must be some way of doing this though...

You might want to try the ShuttlePRO:

    Or the cheaper Shuttle Express:

    Or the Griffin PowerMate

One of those should be able to do what you want to do. The Griffin is pretty cool looking and it's the cheapest, but it also only has two functions - turn, and click. The Shuttles are more full-featured.
