iPod Question
I am a college student and after a few drinks I decided that I was going to buy an iPod. What's the difference between the 'old' 15gb and the newer 20gb- if any?
and on an unrelated note- why is apple.com charging me 30 bucks tax but macmall wont?
apologies if this post is out of the Current Hardware's realm.
Thanks

5 GB. That's it, same great case, just more room for music. and I don't know why Apple charges sales tax but Mac Mall doesnt. Get your iPod through Apple Education though. $369 plus tax, but you get free shipping, so it all evens out. Congrats on the decision, I was sober when I bought my 30 GB....

A company must charge sales tax if they have a presence in the state that the purchaser is from. So, MacMall is located in a particular state. If you're in that state you have to pay sales tax. Apple has stores and offices in many, most, if not all states. So, no matter where you are they have a physical presence and we have to pay tax.
any clue as to whats so new about the dock?
thanks for your replies
