Office X Student/Teacher Edition

I have been offered a new, unregistered Student/Teacher edition of Office X. This was purchased legitimately by a faculty member who then downgraded to a PC. I am neither student nor teacher. I don't know whether the student/teacher restrictions apply only to the purchasing of education software or to the use of it. Does anybody know whether I can use it? I tried the MS website but could find no info.

    I wouldn't worry about it. Just that it's my understanding you won't be eligible for future upgrades.
