Problem w/ DVD Drive in iBook g3/800
Hey everyone!
I've got two probs with the DVD drive built into my iBook g3/800 (14,1 " TFT, bought the book in Dec. '02). One of them (and the less serious one): MacOS X (10.2.6) doesn't seem to be able to read UDF-Formatted DVD's (+R), while OS 9.2.2 can do this. Any idea how to make UDF-DVDs work with MacOS X?
The second, and much more serious question: Whenever trying to copy something from the DVDs to my hard disk (no matter whether in OS X or 9.2.2) I'm encountering several read/write errors. Since some of the files start copying and some do not (but I always get the error) and since this error seems to be file-dependent I assume that it has to do with the DVD itself and not with the drive.
Tried two of them (DVD-R/ISO9660 and DVD+R/UDF), both failed but worked fine in my friends' (who's a PC user) DVD drive. Any idea how this could be solved?
Greetings,
