Dual G4 Vs. 1.6 G5

HAS ANYONE COMPARED THE DUAL 1.25G4 TO THE 1.6 SINGLE G5 PROCESSOR. I AM LOOKING TO UPGRADE FROM A 733G4 TO EITHER A DUAL G4 OR A SINGLE G5 1.6 OR 1.8 (BUDGET) MY MAIN APPLICATION WILL FCP4, MY CONCERN IS THE RENDERING (SOUNDTRACK ETC.) HOW ARE THE NEW G5'S HANDELING THIS? ARE THEY QUICKER OR THE SAME?

IF ANYONE IS USEING FCP4 ON A G5 AND IS USEING IT TO ITS FULLEST AND NOT JUST AS A CUTS ONLY SYSTEM LET ME KNOW HOW THE SYSTEM IS DOING, PLEASE ONLY RESPOND WITH FCP4 BENCHMARKS(NO EXPRESS USERS)

    I think some tests have been done comparing the G4 to the G5, but it's very difficult to actually quantify the differences between them because they're so different. Some tasks are many times faster on the G5 than the G4, and others are a wash.



    By the way, if you want to upgrade to a dual G4, you can do it fairly cheaply (compared to buying a new machine that is) by just going to eshop.macsales.com or www.powerlogix.com and getting a processor upgrade.
