Moved to GD: DELL's new 15.4" notebook
The screen of this computer is amazing. It can display 1920 X 1200 pixels, basically the same as the 23" cinemadisplay.
OK,OK, I know, so many pixels on such a small surface will have you end up using a magnifier to work. Eventhough you might not work the whole day on such a resolution, it's nice to be able to see 2 full pages on your screen on the go, or to extend the timelines of softwares such as Flash, Final cut Pro or After Effects.
Still, I have to say that I have been unimpressed for quite some times by Apple screens' resolutions. Even on the new 17" PB which has a 1440 X 900 resolution Vs. 1600 X 1200 for Sony or Dell on 16" and 15" screens. That make you think of a lot of other things as well. Imagine if the 23" display could have the Pitch of the DELL notebook. We would end up with a 4000 X 2400 something display. Nice. http://www.dell.com/us/en/bsd/products/model_inspn_2_inspn_8500.htm
