My digit Keybad don't work on Pro Keyboard

So, whenever I try to use the keypad (the set of 10 digits on the far right side of the Apple Pro Keyboard) nothing inputs. The rest of the keyboard works fine. The "num lock" light is not on... i mean, what is up? I really like these buttons!

turn num-lock on... when it is not on the keypad acts like arrow keys
